Mice
The house mouse, and sometimes field mouse, are found in buildings as they seek the warmth and shelter for nesting sites and food. Mice have an acute sense of hearing and there presence is normally detected from there dark coloured droppings or damage to packaging or woodwork. Mice are sporadic feeders, nibbling at many food sources rather than indulging from one item. They do not need access to water as they normally obtain sufficient moisture from their food.
They will eat almost anything.
Why Control Mice?
Mice have been known to spread salmonella and listeria which can cause food poisoning. Their constant need to gnaw in order to keep their ever growing incisor teeth worn down means they can cause damage to electrical cables, water and gas pipes, packaging and wood work.
Many electrical fires and floods have been linked to mice.
