Fleas

Fleas: Welcome

Fleas

Fleas are diminutive, reddish-brown insects that function as external parasites, sustaining themselves by feeding on the blood of birds and mammals, including humans. Despite their lack of wings, fleas possess flat bodies and robust legs, enabling them to execute impressive leaps over considerable distances. Their mode of travel involves leaping from one host to another.

If your pet introduces these pests into your home, it can become infested with fleas. Due to their small size and adeptness at concealing themselves in upholstery, their presence may remain unnoticed until a substantial infestation occurs. Additionally, their armoured bodies make them resilient, rendering them difficult to crush, allowing them to thrive in your carpet while remaining undetected.
Although individual fleas may be inconspicuous, during a flea infestation, you may observe multiple fleas hopping onto your furniture or curtains. Moreover, heightened scratching in your pets may indicate their discomfort, potentially resulting from flea bites if the parasites transfer from your pet to your body.

Give us a call if you’re having issues with fleas and we’ll get your pest problem dealt with efficiently and promptly.
