What makes cockroaches problematic?

Apart from their unsightly presence, cockroaches pose a threat to human health due to their potential to carry harmful bacteria. One prevalent concern is food poisoning, making it vital for businesses in the food industry to vigilantly combat infestations.  Additionally, these pests can transmit severe illnesses like salmonella, dysentery, gastroenteritis, and typhoid.In the UK, cockroaches are typically found indoors, inhabiting various locations such as kitchens, basements, heating ducts, and commercial establishments like restaurants.

Remarkably, cockroaches can survive up to 100 days without food, but they cannot endure more than a couple of days without water. Consequently, they tend to hide in places with easy access to water sources.Bathrooms and kitchens are frequent cockroach hideouts for this reason. 

Be sure to inspect areas like the back of cabinets, behind sinks, baths, toilets, dishwashers, washing machines, and any dark, sheltered spots.
