Carpet Beetle

Carpet Beetle

Carpet beetle larvae can cause damage to natural fibres while they feed, leaving holes in throws and clothes. If attached to clothing, the bristly hairs can also irritate human skin. Other than skin irritation, they are not harmful to humans.
When do these appear:The adults appear in April, May and June and their resulting larvae hibernate during the following winter, pupating during the latter part of February and March. On emergence the adult beetles seek the light so they usually fly to the windows.
